My professional background was in primary school teaching specialising in music, art and textiles at Key Stage 2.
As an elected member of Wolverhampton City Council I have been closely involved in urban design and public art schemes.
I have studied embroidery in adult education and latterly City and Guilds Embroidery at levels 2 and 3 and this year hope to achieve my Diploma. As a textile artist I love to create interesting backgrounds and construct my own fabrics for both hand and machine embroidery, taking my inspiration from both built and natural environments.
