I enjoy experimenting, trying out new techniques and pushing the boundaries. Surface texture, colour and form contribute greatly to my absract approach.

Currently, I am investigating folding and 3D construction, combing these with studies of rigid structures and grids which frame the view, inviting the observer to look from one plane to another. The 3D structures and folded books move, with the imagination, to abstract forms. I employ well tested techniques, as well as experimental ones, to support these abstractions and work mainly, but not exclusively, using free machine embroidery.

The prospect of producing work based on the collections at Warwick Museum is both exciting and challenging.
