I like to create 3 dimensional textiles - boxes - books - dolls and other structures. Even panels seem to want to raise themselves up!

Although my recent work has been influenced by childhood memories, many other areas of interest creep in without me noticing! Historical costume amnd textiles, art, architecture and travel to name but a few. I find it very difficult to pin down and wonder if it would be too limiting if I could.

Most of my work is a mixture of hand and machine embroidery, with a liberal sprinkling of beads and sequins.

I am continuing to research into historical dolls and this will be the focus of my next work.
